Technical Trainer – Education in Emergencies, Learning through Play & Teacher Capacity Strengthening (Consultancy)
Education Relief Service (ERS) is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer – Education in Emergencies, Learning through Play & Teacher Capacity Strengthening to support the implementation of an integrated Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for teachers and child protection practitioners in Gaza.
The consultant will provide technical leadership in contextualizing training materials, facilitating the ToT, mentoring participants during implementation, and ensuring the quality of education-related programme components in collaboration with Plan International.
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Education, Education in Emergencies, International Development, Pedagogy, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in Education programming within humanitarian settings.

Demonstrated experience in:
- Education in Emergencies (EiE)
- Learning through Play (LtP)
- Teacher capacity strengthening
- Adult learning and facilitation
- Coaching and mentoring educators
- Inclusive and trauma-informed education approaches.
Consultancy Period
August – September 2026
Level of Effort
Approximately 70% FTE across the consultancy period, with a higher level of engagement during the first month (approximately 90%) to support training design and delivery, followed by a reduced commitment during the second month (approximately 50%) focused on mentoring, coaching, and quality assurance.
